Mountain Walking - The chalet is surrounded by beautiful walks, most notably into the Ecrins National Park, to places like Lac Lauvitel or Refuge de La Muzelle.
Summer Skiing - During the summer months, Les Deux Alpes opens the lifts to its glacier, which is the largest summer ski area in Europe, including a world class Freestyle Park.
White Water Rafting - Within a short walk from the chalet is our local rafting centre, who operate not only on our local river, but also arrange trips to other valleys.
Via Ferrata - Originally invented in Italy, this activity involves tackling a pre-determined exposed climbing route, marked by a line of cables for security. Our closest route starts behindthe chalet and scales the cliffs all the way up to Les Deux Alpes.
Tree Top Adventure - Just over the river is the summer tree top adventure park, with cabled routes marked out high up in the trees. There are different levels of routes for most ages and abilities.
Paragliding - We can help arrange a tandem paragliding trip, which starts in or above Les Deux Alpes and lands just a couple of hundred metres from the chalet.
Swimming Pool - During the two months of French school summer holidays, there is an open air municipal swimming pool 400 metres from the chalet, with a great water slide. Don't forget your Speedos. French regulation requires you to wear slim fitting swimming trunks.
Restaurants - Venosc and Bourg d'arid have a hand full of lovely restaurant. The closest being one at the campsite opposite, which is open much of the year, including in winter. During the summer a lovely restaurant opens just up the road in a 17th Century Chateau. Venosc has three restaurants, one of which is also a late night bar.
Craft Shops - Venosc is known for it boutique craft shops. Set along either sides of the pedestrian cobbled streets are a number of artist craft shops, a great place to pick up some holiday presents.
Husky Sledding - Enjoy a husky sledding trip out on the banks of the river Veneon. Departing very close to the chalet.
